Elena O. Asturias is a licensed US Customs Broker, and Certified Customs Specialist. She has been involved in imports for over fifteen years, and has taught classes for Miami Dade College’s Import/Export Designation Program where she re-wrote the curriculum.
She is an experienced broker, working daily with entry submissions, bonded cargo, classifications, valuations and Importer Security Filings. Familiar with all aspects of the entry process and extensive experience handling a wide variety of commodities. She holds local and national permits with Customs.
Currently she serves as the FDA (Food & Drug Administration) Committee Chair for the Florida Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association and is on Miami Dade’s Beacon Council Trade & Logistics Committee.
Elena holds a Bachelors of Arts in Geography from California State University Long Beach, as well as a postgraduate certification in Geographic Information Sciences. She has lived in several countries overseas and is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
