Elena O. Asturias is a licensed US Customs Broker, and Certified Customs Specialist. She is well established within South Florida’s logistics community and has taught classes for Miami Dade College’s Import/Export Designation Program where she re-wrote the curriculum.
She is an experienced broker, working daily with entry submissions, bonded cargo, classifications, valuations, and Importer Security Filings. Familiar with all aspects of the entry process, she has extensive experience handling a wide variety of commodities. She holds local and national permits with Customs.
Currently she serves as Co-Chair of the Education Committee for the Florida Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association and is on Miami Dade’s Beacon Council Trade & Logistics Committee. She was a 2021 receipt of the World Trade Center Miami’s International Women’s Day Award in recognition of her contributions to South Florida’s international business community.
Elena holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from California State University Long Beach, as well as a postgraduate certification in Geographic Information Sciences. She has lived in several countries overseas and is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
